Yesterday during the Mother's Day fun at grandma and grandpa's house, Dad and Andy were playing soccer with cousin with a ball that is really too big to be a soccer ball. Well, down went Andy and with it, glasses pair number four. This time the glasses broke at the temple. I could tell from where I was sitting that the glasses didn't fair well and Dad confirmed it when Andy came up crying and the glasses were in two pieces.
My brother-in-law asked if Andy had an emergency second pair and I informed him that I don't have another pair due to the cost. Andy's lenses alone are nearly $200, so tack on another $100 for the frames and that is my out of pocket cost. Oh well, I called the optical store this morning to order another pair and started laughing on the phone. I will pay the $15 for second day air this week and we should have them by Wednesday.
Just for math purposes, pair number 4 only lasted 4 days on the 4 year old.
